Specials are classes taught outside
of the regular classroom. Below is our specials schedule this year along
with a brief description.

Music 10:30-10:55 | Students sing, learn to square dance, and also use computers to compose music and learn about composers. | Students need a folder for music for storage of class work. |

Wednesday |
Gym 11:00-11:25 | Students will learn a variety of skills including rules to popular sports. They will also participate in the Presidential Fitness Test and Jump Rope for Heart. | Students need to bring a clean pair of gym shoes to school for the sole purpose of gym activities. They will change into these shoes before going to gym. |

Gym 2:00-2:25 |
Students hear a story or chapter read to them by one of our librarians, then they have the opportunity to search for a book to check out. | Fourth graders may check out 2 books from our library using their library card. Check out time is 2 weeks per book. The replacement fee on the library card is $1. |

Art 10:30-11:20 | Students do a variety of activities in art class including drawing, painting, weaving, and clay. | Special materials for art include a fine lined permanent marker, scissors, pencil, glue, crayons, and colored pencils. |
