School is almost out ....
Summer is almost here ....
What will we do?

We're collecting things to do this summer and we will post them here as we get more details. There are many programs and events that will make the 12 weeks of summer fly by!

Of course, all George Earle kids will have their Summer Learning Packets to work on! It won't be too bad if we work on them a little at a time. Before we know it, it will be time to return to school and we will be ready to start a new year!

CHECK OUT THESE FUN ACTIVITIES

Hobart Parks Department is planning their yearly summer program, which will take place at parks and community centers throughout the city of Hobart. The program will consist of crafts, outdoor activities, and cultural events which are educational as well as amusing.

To obtain the days and locations, call the Parks Department at 942-2987.

DON'T MISS OUT ON THESE EVENTS!

  • The Hobart Annual 4th of July Parade will take place as usual. This is a great time to come out and show your support for our country and our city .... It is also a great way to see some school friends and find out how they have been spending their summer. We hope to see you there!
  • If you are a Girl Scout, the Summer Day Camp at the Hobart Scout Cabin will be held the week of July 19th. Registered Girl Scouts can bring along a friend, as long as they pay a registration fee. Check with your troop leader or call the Drifting Dunes Girl Scout Council at 219/795-9640.
  • The Hobart Street Faire is being held on Saturday, July 24th. There will be lots of arts and craft vendors!
  • The Lake Front Festival is scheduled for August 19th through the 22nd and is being held at Festival Park again this year!

If you have any information on other activities,
please email our webmaster!
