You are to choose one of the following roles. You will choose to be Tommy's teacher in grade school, his mother, father, or his best friend who is also 10 years old. After you have chosen one of the following roles, you will write an essay on whether you think he should be advanced to college level work or remain with his age appropriate grade level. You will make your decision as your selected character.

  Parents- As Tommy’s parents you want what is best for your son without pushing him to do something he may not be ready for.

Teacher- As Tommy’s teacher you want to encourage him to have the best education appropriate for him.

Best Friend- As Tommy’s best friend you want him to stay in school with you.
