Intercollegiate Athletic Information

Many high school athletes anticipate continuing their athletic endeavors into college.  In many instances, these expectations can be very realistic; in others, they are not.  It is extremely important for athletes and parents to discuss the possibility of competing at the college level with their coach.  He or she will be able to provide the direction required for this very important decision.

If a student-athlete wishes to compete at the Division I or II level, he or she must complete the NCAA Clearinghouse Form available in the guidance office.  The NCAA requires students to complete 13 core courses.  It is extremely important for students to take this into consideration when updating their Educational Development Plan with their counselor and scheduling their course of study.

If you are interested in competing in intercollegiate athletics, pick up the "Is College In Your Future?" handout from your guidance counselor.  The web sites listed below will also be useful.
