St. Nessan's N.S.
Limerick, Ireland.
I wrote a letter to all the parents and guardians explaining our e-mail
project. This recipe was sent in by Mrs. Cunningham who minds one of the
little girls, Lisa, in my class until her mum finishes work.
Cheddar treats
- 1x375g block frozen pastry defrosted
- flour
- ground sea salt
- paprika pepper
- grated cheddar cheese
Trim the edges of the block of pastry with a sharp knife.
Dip the blade of the knife into the flour in order to prevent it from
sticking.
Cut the pastry block into thin slices approximately 2-3mm thick.
Cut each slice in three and arrange these on a large baking tray leaving
approximately 5 cm space between each one.
Sprinkle with the salt and paprika pepper.
Bake in a pre-heated oven 1900 or 375 f for approximately 7 minutes.
Sprinkle the cheese on top and replace in the oven for 1-2 minutes to
allow the cheese to melt. Allow to cool on the tin.
When cold store in an airtight container until required.
Park Street School
New Brunswick, Canada
We are a Kindergarten class from Fredericton, New Brunswick, Canada.
Fredericton is the capital city of New Brunswick. We go to Park Street School.
It is a K-6 school with 450 students.
We have 19 children in our class. We enjoy center time in our classroom.
We especially enjoy the block center, sandbox, easel, writing center, dramatic
play center, and reading center. We have two computers in our classroom.
We write stories and draw pictures on the computer. We are also learning
to use Wiggleworks.
Early in the fall we went to visit an apple Orchard. It is called Adam's
Apple. We traveled to the orchard on a school bus. Once we arrived, we were
taken on a wagon ride to some apple trees that had lots of red, juicy apples
on them. We picked apples to take back to school. We also got to see how
apple cider is made. We took a bottle of that back to school with us.
We made apple collages by painting liquid starch over tissue paper apple
shapes. We also made apple prints of the star inside the apple.
This is our favorite apple poem.
Two Little Apples
Way, way up in an apple tree,
Two little apples smiled at me.
I shook that tree
As hard as I could.
Down came those apples.
Mmmmm! They were good.
We used the apples we picked to make applesauce. This is our recipe.
Microwave Applesauce
6 to 8 apples
about * cup water
Cook in a microwave about 4-5 minutes at a time.
Stir after each 4-5 minutes.
The applesauce usually takes about 10 minutes to cook.
Remove from microwave.

We hope you enjoy our picture.
