Teacher's Pets

I firmly believe that there is life beyond school for teachers. These three darlings take up a great deal of my spare time. I enjoy every minute with them and only wish we could spend more time together.

Goldie (age 13) is the leader of the pack and a super retriever.

DeeDee is 10 weeks younger, very obedient, and adores Goldie.

In February of 1998 Sydney entered our household, and life has never been the same! She was born at the Gary Dog Pound and her time was running out. Sydney was 3.75 pounds at nine weeks when she came to live with us. She was just a little ball of fur.

All three girls get along very well.

Sydney turned the former couch potatoes into full time active playmates.

Sydney is a member of the AKC (American Kritter Club), and can best be described as a toy Golden Retriever with light blond fur.

Sydney graduated in July 1998 from the Von Winn Dog Academy with first place honors for the beginners' obedience class. She has decided to retire from competition while she is still in good standing.

Sydney is the youngest, and she is also the biggest (and she is still growing)!

All Three Groff Girls:

Love each other

Are super ball players, love to play 3 way tug of war, and to chase one another

Love to eat liver treats

Enjoy playing with their good friend Bailey

Appreciate the loving care they get from Dr. Randi and Dr. Jerry at Vale Park Animal Hospital

Our new little cousin - Gypsy!

Their good pal Lucky

Lucky is very obedient, loving, and gentle. He is a good role model for "The Girls" who tend to have selective hearing.

Cousin Heidi

We lost Heidi this past year due to illness. She was a wonderful and loving pet. We miss her greatly.

The girls were disappointed that the gingerbread house wasn't made out of real candy!

Unfortunately Goldie has lost her vision. She has Progressive Retinal Atrophy. If you have had experience with blind pets and have any suggestions for me, please e-mail me.
