The Holy Bible

The Holy Bible is the inspired Word of God written by man to document God's existence, His plan for mankind, and His Mercy and Grace.

All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.

2 Timothy 3:16-17

The first five books of the Bible, Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers and Deuteronomy, were recorded by Moses and handed down through the Tribe of Levi.

The Holy Bible is divided into two sections: the Old Testament based upon the Law of Moses, and the New Testament that talks about Jesus' fulfillment of Moses' Law.

Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfill.

Matthew 5:17

The Bible was written at different times by forty different people. Some of the writers were shepherds, traders, fishermen, soldiers, physicians, preachers, kings; the writers came from about every walk of life. They wrote of God's messages and after the writers died their writings lived on.

The writings were collected over years and became the Bible. In 1238 A.D. It was divided into chapters by Cardinal Hugo de S. Caro and Robertus Stepahnus created verses in the chapters in 1551 A.D. It takes 70 hours to read through the Bible. God appears 3,358 times; Lord appears 7,736 times. The Bible has been translated in over 1200 different languages.
