• Your task is to write a detailed journal entry for 1 week of a slave's life.

• Create a bibliography of the resources you have used.  You must use a minimum of 3 resources.

• Choose one of the following roles:

               - A slave who has recently escaped,
               - A slave who is planning to escape,
               - A slave who has been captured

• As an introduction to the journal, you will need to write a paragraph including the following biographical information.

               Define your identity:
                -Your name
                -Your age
                -Name of your owner
                -State where your plantation is located
               -The tasks you performed as a slave
               -Name and location of your family members

• Use the resources provided to research the life of a slave.

• In your journal entries describe the daily events of your life, include the important decisions you had to make, what perils you faced, and how you faced them.

***You are also required to write a poem or song that a slave might sing or write that expresses the slaves' feelings.
