Project Summary
Our Five Year Plan for Technology Integration includes a budget that prioritizes
purchases based upon the following:
1. Need
2. Equity
3. Known sources of revenue
4. Prioritization of purchases based upon above
Projects that are completed:
- Teacher and classroom workstations in each classroom as a teacher utility
and for group/individual instruction
- Multi-media workstations in each school teacher/student creation of
multi-media
- Networking of the Hobart High School and Joan Martin
- Instructional delivery systems at Hobart High School and Joan Martin
- Internet and e-mail access to the world at Hobart High School and Joan
Martin
- Stand-alone laser disk hardware and software accessibility at the Hobart
Middle School, George Earle, Liberty, and Ridge View
- Project 4R's at all elementaries
- Replacement of building equipment that is loaned to lab resource people
- Phones in each classroom and work area to facilitate home/school communication
- Voice mail and homework hotline at all schools
Phase I(1996-'97)
- Continued automation of library collections
- Networking of the Hobart Middle School, George Earle, Liberty, and
Ridge View
- Instructional delivery systems at Hobart Middle School, George Earle,
Liberty, and Ridge View
- Wide area network of corporation
- Internet and e-mail access to the world at all buildings
- Installation of satellite dishes for each building and subscription
to distance learning channels
- Upgrade of administrative technology

- AV classroom workstations
