Using technology requires the understanding that problems will occur.
In order to get back up and running with a minimum of disruption, it is
understood that minor troubleshooting will be the responsibility of the
user. Part of the inservice and workshop program will be devoted to training
staff in minor troubleshooting skills.
However, some problems will require the assistance of the School City of
Hobart's technicians. At this point, a technician will be contacted using
the procedures outlined for technology work orders. All maintenance will
be recorded by unit in the inventory record.
Maintenance will then be scheduled and executed on a priority basis by the
School City of Hobart technicians. Any technology components deemed unrepairable
by the technician will be replaced at the discretion of the Director of
Technology.
Preventative maintenance will be done on all equipment at the time of
repair. All technology equipment will have scheduled preventative maintenance
done at least yearly.
