Visual Basic was developed in 1991 as a way to replace unfathomable languages such as "C" and outdate its forerunner, BASIC. C was an extremely long and complicated language, while BASIC was short. This "shortness", however, limited its maneuverability. Visual Basic programming starts with "drawing" the programs layout. Buttons, text boxes, scroll bars, and frames are set into the project's assigned windows.
Next, actions are applied to the buttons and such through use of commands such as Print or mathematical equations.
