All about Me- This project is a beginning of the year project to help me get to know my new students.  It's also a terrific chance for students to introduce themselves to their classmates.

Indiana Regions Project - This project gives kids a chance to show what they've learned about Indiana's geography.  It involves identifying the three geographical regions of Indiana, four major rivers, the capital, and 5 points of interest.  Students will also be expected to make their map in 3-D to show the elevations of our state.

Little House on the Prairie/ Pioneer Study - Students get the opportunity to read Farmer Boy and/or Little House on the Prairie by Laura Ingalls Wilder.  They then participate in projects such as:

Fourth graders also have a pioneer day in December to celebrate Indiana's birthday and to show what they've learned about pioneer life. On that day students participate in activities such as:
  President's Day project - Students choose a president to research for a President's Day presentation.  Dressing in character is part of the presentation.
