(top)PROCESS
1.  Choose a topic of concern to focus on from the following choices: 2.  Research your topic on the Internet (see resources)
3.  Make a poster to display around the school or community.  Ex:  "Give a hoot...don't pollute!" (see Evaluation for guidelines).
4.  Create an advertisement about your topic area.  This maybe an oral advertisement to present on the school intercom or a written advertisement to present in the school newspaper (see Evaluation for guidelines).
5.  Create a model of your chosen topic area  (see Evaluation for guidelines).
6.  Establish a school wide project to help with your cause.  Some ideas could be organizing a paper drive, garbage pick-up, presentation to city council or a school board, or promoting carpooling/bicycle riding  (see Evaluation for guidelines).
7.  Develop a multimedia presentation of your topic using Kidpix, Hyperstudio, or Powerpoint to present to your teacher and classmates.  The presentation should influence and encourage the audience to make a change and to help with your cause.  You will need to include a title slide/card.  Your additional slides/cards should include main points that you will discuss during your oral presentation.  Slides/cards should be appealing to the audience  (see Evaluation for guidelines).
