Hi Boys and Girls,
I finally made it to Livermore
and Mrs. Burns First grade class. I arrived Thursday night and was just
in time for a special Hanukkah celebration with four other classes! I got
to taste potato pancakes called latkes and played a dreidel game. (We used
M&Ms!). It was really fun! Mrs. Burns will be sending pictures about
this fun event in a couple of days. She is really sorry it took so long
to write my journal...her email crashed at home! I don't understand much
about that kind of stuff. The boys and girls here are really friendly.
They all want to hold me! They really enjoyed looking through all my stuff
and books
that I have collected. Well
bye for now!
Friday- December 13.
What a busy day we had! I was
surprised to see all the first graders in pajamas! First we met with another
class and got to draw a nutcracker in the library. I helped Katie draw
hers. She really liked my suggestions about coloring! Next we stood in
line and waited for "The Polar Express!" I even got my own ticket! We listened
to the story and we each got a special bell...I got one too because I believe!
(I hope Santa brings me a bone!)
Then we got to drink yummy hot
chocolate and eat Christmas cookies! Yummers! We went into the multipurpose
room to practice a song for the assembly tomorrow...The song was about
a reindeer with a red nose...kind of strange I think. I hope I remember
the words. After that, we colored our Nutcrackers and listened to the Nutcracker
Ballet. We are getting ready for our field trip to the Oakland Ballet on
Wednesday! I get to go
too!!! I am so excited. Well
I am bushed. I need lots of sleep. These first graders keep me really busy!
More tomorrow!!
Love,
Addey
