Introduction

In the story, The Caterpillar and the Polliwog, a caterpillar brags to several other animals that she will soon turn into something else. Since she is not being very nice, they ignore her. Until, she comes upon a polliwog who tells her he will turn into something else also. The polliwog is very disappointed when he realizes he does not turn into a butterfly, like the caterpillar. Later, he realizes what a handsome frog he has become!

The caterpillar and the polliwog each undergo very special changes as they grow up. It will be your quest to learn the facts about these changes. You can help teach others about the special life cycles of butterflies and frogs.
