2. Then choose three fast food franchises (they don't have to be just hamburger joints) from the Entrepreneurmag.com website that is listed in Entrepreneur's Fanchise 500 and find all information relating to the cost of owning each franchise.
3. Next, create a spreadsheet listing franchise information and showing the comparison of the three. Use Excel to create this spreadsheet which will list the name of each franchise, franchise fees, start-up costs, and royalty percentages. Make the following calculations on the spreadsheet: a.the dollar amount of royalty fees based on annual sales of $100,000. ANDb.the total cost of owning each franchise (franchise fee plus start-up costs plus dollar amount of royalty).
4. Finally, choose the fast food franchise that you would buy. Compose a business letter to the parent company explaining your interest in owning this franchise. Give concrete reasons for choosing this franchise. Use this letter to request more detailed information for your investment bankers. Type the letter using Microsoft Word.
