They say that when you borrow something, you should leave it in better shape than what you started with, a common act of courtesy.  Recycling, reducing, and reusing are all huge steps in the direction of improving and preserving our earth for those who come after us. If each one of us makes a conscious effort to recycle, reuse, and reduce, there's a good chance we will be able to hand over an earth that is better than the one we started with to our own children.
