Hi, I am Curious George. This is my journal written by my friends in Mrs. Graves' Morning Kindergarten class at George Earle Elementary in Hobart, Indiana. Each night I go to a different home and get to become part of their family until we return to school in the morning.
I hope you enjoy reading this, as much as I enjoyed all the fun times I have had! My visits started on September 8, 1998, but first Mrs. Graves and I wrote about us!
Hi! My name is Curious George. I have been staying with Mrs. Graves and her husband, Ken. We have had a nice time. Mr. Graves loves to fish and I go with him. I like to watch while Mrs. Graves bakes. (I get to all the broken cookies!) I want to have fun with you also. Love, George

I'm Curious George. I have been staying with Michele and her Mom, Dad, and sister, Jennifer. We had lunch together and now we are on our way to the doctor so we can see if Michele's cast comes off today. Let's see! Well, we had the nurse, Ronnie, take the cast off and we were scared. It hurt. Then we waited for the doctor. He looked and said we had to get an x-ray. When that was over, back up to the office. We went and he said my ankle was ok. No more cast but no runner, jumping. We said goodbye and left for Jennifer's volleyball game. Her team won all three games. Boy, everyone was glad. Bye, George & Michele

I came home with Brittany, had lunch, played a while. Then we took a good nap. My mom made us a good snack. I got to take Curious George to cheerleading practice. We practiced all the cheers. My mom picked us up after practice. We played for a while, had dinner, and got to watch TV a while. We really had fun with George! I love you, George! Brittany

When we came home, we had lunch, played for a little while, then took a little nap. T.J. took me to Walmart so we could find some shoes for sister, Meggan. Boy, that was fun! When we got back home, we played outside. We even were able to feed the ducks. What fun! Then Mrs. W called us in for dinner. Yummy, dinner! We all had to help clean up, so we could get ready for Bible school Boy, what an afternoon! Time for bed! See ya tomorrow. George & T.J.

I came home with Jeremy. After school we ate some lunch and ate some cookies. We played with Jeremy's cousin for a while. Then we went to the store with Jeremy's step dad. After that we came home and Jeremy's brother, Nathan, came home from school. We all colored for a while. Then we played outside with all of Jeremy's friends. We rode bikes and played games. Then we came in, cleaned up, and ordered a pizza. After we ate, we watched TV. Then we brushed our teeth and went to bed. That was my day with Jeremy. Good Night, Curious George

Hi! I'm Curious George and I've been staying with Chayna and her family and when we got home, we ate lunch. We layed down with Grandma. Then played for a long time. Then came in and ate a snack. Went back outside and played in the rain. Then we came in and ate dinner. Then we watched TV. After a while, we went to bed and Chayna's Mom read to us. We had fun. Hope to come again. I'm Curious George and I came home with Jacob today. We had pepperoni pizza for lunch. (That's Jacob's favorite.) We then watched TV and then went to the park to play with Jacob's sister, Cailin. We had a lot of fun! When we came home, we played a Power Rangers video game and ate a snack. Jacob wants to draw a picture of our day at the park. It's time to get ready for a visit from Jacob's Grandma Marge. We're going to take baths and read a book. I hope to come back again soon. Bye!! Curious George

This is Curious George from Kirsten's house. After our peanut butter sandwich, we went outside and rode Kirsten's bike. Then Kirsten and I went with Mrs. S. to KMart. Kirsten got a Minnie Mouse watch! When we got home, Kiara came to play. That was fun. We had chili for dinner before we went to a Boy Scout meeting with Kirsten's brother. After we got home, we had a bedtime snack and Mrs. S. read "The Lost Puppy" to Kirsten and me. I even got a sticker for being a good "monkey." Good Night from Curious George

I got to spend the whole weekend at Kaitlyn's house and boy, was it a busy weekend! While I was at Kaitlyn's house, we ate with her Mommy, Daddy, sister Ashlee and brother Matthew. We watched Disney movies and TV, played outside, slept, took baths and listened to bedtime stories. On Friday we went to Great Uncle Luther and Aunt Kay's house, then we went to Grandma Marleen and Papa's house. Saturday we took Aunt Michelle and Cousin Joe to see "Madeline." Then we played games, went shopping and back to Aunt Michelle's to play. Sunday Kaitlyn's friend, Yolanda, came over with her niece Jessica and we played. i was glad to go to sleep last night. I was tired, but I had a lot of fun. Good-Bye for now.

Today I got to spend the day with Ashlee at her house. When we got home from school we ate lunch. Then we took Ashlee's sister, Kaitlyn, to physical therapy and Ashlee and I took a nap in the car. When we got home, Ashlee put me in her front pocket and we went outside with her sister and brother, Matthew, and the neighbor kids - Christina, Jason, Adelle and Jessica - to play. Jessica painted Ashlee's fingernails. Next we went in and had dinner with Ashlee's family and we had brownies for dessert. We watched "Rug Rats," got ready for bed, listened to Ashlee's Mommy read us a story and then we went to sleep. I really had fun. Good-Bye until tomorrow.

After school Eric and I went to day care. When Mommy came to pick us up, we went home. Eric and I then copied letters from a book. next we played Tonka games on Eric's computer. Eric's friend, Cody, came over to play with us for a little while. I got to go to college with Eric's mom too! When I got home from college, Eric and I got ready for bed. We got to have an apple as a snack before bed. Then Eric's Mom read a story about me to us. Then it was time for bed. Good Night, Curious George

When Zak and I got home from school, Zak had lunch and an apple he picked on his field trip to the apple orchard yesterday! We went outside and I watched Zak shoot his bow and arrow at a target of a deer. Then we went inside and played a little baseball on Nintendo. Zak's Mom asked for help washing the car. Zak helped, I watched. We played in the sand and I got a ride INSIDE Zak's slinky! We ate dinner and then we went to Grandma's. I watched Zak and Robbie play hockey and basketball. We baked cupcakes and made carmel apples. Zak's Grandma picked sister, Amy, and her friend, Sarah, up from Youth Group at church and we came home. Zak took a bath and finished his "Brown Bear" book. When Curious George and I got home from school, we waited for my Mom to get home. We sat and read a story with my Grandma. My Mom got home and we went out for lunch. We had tacos. Then we went shopping and my Mom bought me a remote control tow truck. We got home and played with my new truck. George took a ride on the back, but it doesn't seem to be driving right so my Mom is going to take it back to the store. Me and George went roller blading outside. Hi, I'm Curious George and I got to come stay with Stephanie. When we got off the bus, we went inside and played with her cousin, Alex. After that Stephanie and I listened to music. Then Stephanie's Mom made lunch. We had ham sandwiches with chips. Her sister, Meghan, ate with us. When we were done with lunch, we went outside and played. Stephanie's Mom called us inside after a while and she fixed us some ice cream. When Stephanie's aunt came to pick up Stephanie's cousin, she braided her hair and then Stephanie's Mom painted her nails. After all that , Stephanie's Mom tucked us in and read us a story. When I got off the school bus, I ate a turkey sandwich with Zackary. Zackary's Mom took a nap, because she worked all night, so Zackary and I played on the computer. Zackary showed me how to turn the computer on and off. I had so much fun! Now we are getting ready to go see Zackary's Aunt Laura so that Zackary's brother, Erik, can get a haircut. Hi. This is Curious George. When Krissy and I got off the school bus, we went roller blading, and then we played on Krissy's swing set. After that, we ate hot dogs for lunch. After lunch we went shopping with their friend, Lisa. After shopping, Krissy took me for a ride on her bike! What fun! Then it was time for dinner. After dinner we played Barbies with Jessie and Allie. Krissy's Dad came home from work and gave us ice cream sandwiches. Then we went to bed. Good Night, George
