Hi, I am Curious George. This is my journal written by my friends in Mrs. Graves' Morning Kindergarten class at George Earle Elementary in Hobart, Indiana. Each night I go to a different home and get to become part of their family until we return to school in the morning.
I hope you enjoy reading this, as much as I enjoyed all the fun times I have had! This is my fourth month of going home with this class of morning kindergartners! Of course, since December is such a busy month, Mrs. Graves has asked me to spend more time with her so I can help her and Mr. Graves get ready for Christmas.
December 3, 1998
Today George game home with Ashlee. We went in the car to the bank and then to Arby's for lunch. Then we went to Ashlee's Grandma's to eat it. We took her cousins, Karissa and Christopher, home to play with us. We played outside with Ashlee's sister, Kaitlyn, her brother, Matthew, her cousins, and her neighbor, Christina. Then Ashlee's Grandma and Aunt Karen came over so her Mommy could go to work and we played in the toy room and ate dinner. We got to watch the Goofy Christmas Show on TV and then went to bed. Goodbye.
December 4, 1998
Curious George spent the weekend with Kaitlyn. When we got home on Friday, Kaitlyn's Mom took us to McDonalds for lunch and we ate inside by the Christmas tree and got toys with our food. Then her older brother, Johnny, came over to spend the weekend. On Saturday, we took her cousin, Christopher, her sister, Ashlee, and her brother, Matthew, to see "A Bug's Life." We saw her friends, Yolanda and Jessica, there. On Sunday, we went to Steven's Birthday party and played games, but then something happened. Kaitlyn left me at Steven's house all night and you'll have to ask Steven what I did there. Monday, Steven brought me back to school and I came home with Kaitlyn so her Mom could write in my book. We went to therapy and then her Grandma watched us while her parents worked. We had fun and now I'm back at school. Bye for now.
December 8, 1998
Today Curious George came home with Jacob. Jacob's sister, Cailin, met us at the door. When she saw me, she went to get another Curious George that Jacob keeps. He looks just like me. We all played for a while before lunch. Jacob and I played a Lost World game. It was fun! After lunch, Jacob and I played on the Play Station. Then Jacob's Dad asked if we wanted to work on a model; the Super Cobra Marine helicopter that Jacob got for his birthday. It's going to be cool. Well, it's night time now. Jacob has basketball practice and I get to go! We first have to eat dinner. Bye for now. Curious George
That was my last sleep over for 1998. Mrs. Graves said she needed me at her house, so I could help decorate the house, trim the tree, bake cookies, sign Christmas cards and wrap gifts. It was sure a busy time. Of course, I went to school with her some days because I couldn't do too much around the house without her being home. I had a very nice Christmas at Mr. and Mrs. Graves, but I can't wait until school starts and I can see my friends again! Happy New Year!
