Hi, I am Curious George. This is my journal written by my friends in Mrs. Graves' Morning Kindergarten class at George Earle Elementary in Hobart, Indiana. Each night I go to a different home and get to become part of their family until we return to school in the morning.

I hope you enjoy reading this, as much as I enjoyed all the fun times I have had! This is my third month of going home with this class of morning kindergartners!

November 3, 1998

Today I took my second trip home with Alex. This time I got to meet his Grandma Lovall. She was over for dinner. We had yummy chicken, but before dinner, we ate cheese and crackers as a snack. Alex put me in the tree so I could swing for a while. While Alex took a bath, I got to play with his sister, Taylor, and her little doll. After Alex's bath, his grandma read us a story. Then I got to watch Alex brush his teeth. Before I knew it, it was time for bed. Good night!

November 4, 1998

Well here I'm to tell you about my stay at Michael's house. We didn't even get into the house. Before we left, Michael's Mom needed us to go to the store with her. Michael let me ride in the buggy with his brother, James. Came home. Michael's Mom made us pizza bites. It was good. Michael's Mom said time to take a bath. Just then I remembered what happened the last time I stayed at Michael's. Well, Michael sat me by the tub. Then Michael put me in the water. It was kinda fun. Michael's Mom dried me. I was so cold! We got in Michael's and his brother's (James') bed. Michael's mom let us watch Lion King. It was Simba's Pride! It was out right good. Michael's Mom read us a book and to bed. Hope to come again and take a bath!

November 7, 1998

Hello! Curious George here. Sean and I went and spent the night at his Grandma's with his cousin, Steven. We ate popcorn and watched a movie. Sean even let me drive the batmobile!! In the morning we went to church. Then we went to a one-year old's birthday party. We had a great weekend together! Time for bed. Can't wait til tomorrow.

November 9, 1998

Hello! This is Curious George writing to you once again from Steven's house. After the bus ride home, we had lunch together and played for a while. Then we watched some cartoons and had dinner together. Before bedtime, Steven put me in Jack's (the dog) collar and Jack took me for a ride all over the house. It was fun! I wonder what my next visit will be like!? Curious George XOXOXO

November 10, 1998

I rode home with Dallas again. When we got home, Dallas' 1-1/2 year old brother was in the tub, because he got his Mommy's lipstick all over his face! He looked so funny! Now it's lunch time --- grilled cheese sounds good to me. Now we need to help Dallas clean his room and wait for his Daddy to come home. It's very windy and stormy outside, so his Daddy's late, but we're gonna have stuffed peppers for dinner. Yum! The boys want to watch "Buffy," but it's pretty scary so their Mom doesn't know about that. Dallas' Dad is home now. We ate our dinner and were ready for bed. November 16, 1998

I rode to day care with Eric after school today. There we ate lunch and played with other kids until his Mom came. When we got home, Eric and I played on the computer and watched Rug Rats on TV. After Eric's Mom fixed dinner, she went to college and Eric and I went to IUN also. When we got home from school, Eric had to take a shower and get ready for bed. I sat with his Mom while he did all that. Now it's time for his Mom to read us a bed story and then go to sleep. Good Night, Curious George

November 17, 1998

When Krissy and I got off the school bus, Krissy's mom made macaroni and cheese for lunch. After lunch we went outside and went roller blading. The mailman gave us the mail and we took it inside and gave it to Krissy's Mom. We stayed in then and watched "Anastasia." When the movie was over, we played Barbies with Krissy's sister, Allie. "It's dinner time - yeah!" After dinner, we took a nice warm bath to get ready for bed. After our bath, we had apples and oranges for a snack. Now it is time for a bedtime story and then bed. November 18, 1998

Zackary and I went to a store with Zackary's mom. Boy, did I see lots of fun stuff. In the car, we played with Zackary's new Taco Bell dog. It says "Here, lizard, lizard, lizard." Anyway, after we went to the store, we ended up at McDonald's for a treat of ice cream and french fries. We played on the playland stuff for a while and took a nap on the way home. Whew! Was I tired! I can't wait for my next adventure. Talk to you soon!

November 19, 1998

Today when we came home from school, George and I watched the New Adams Family movie while we ate our lunch. We are off to go shopping with Mom and Grandpa. Write after. :-) Well, we are back and we had so much fun. My Grandpa bought me an outfit for me and one for my baby doll. I also got new shoes to wear with my dresses and I got the new Goosebumps movie and Lion King II. After shopping, we were hungry and so we went to the China Buffet. Boy, do I love that food! It's all good. Now it's time to say good night and good bye. We had a very nice day together, didn't we George? Michele

November 20, 1998

When we got off the bus, Stephanie's sister and Daddy were waiting for us. Boy, am I excited to spend the whole weekend with Stephanie. Her Daddy made us lunch and then we waited for her Mom to get home from work and we went to dinner for her Mom's birthday. We had Mexican food. After that, Stephanie and her sister, Meghan, got to go clothes shopping. They even got their Christmas dresses. On Saturday, Stephanie's Grandma watched us and we had to clean Stephanie's room. On Sunday, her uncle watched us and we played with her cousins, Sam and Alex.

November 23, 1998

Today I came home with Bryan. His Mom said, "Hello George. Welcome back." They moved since the last time I went home with Bryan. He showed me his room. Then he gave me a ride in his green tractor all around his new house. Then we ate lunch and went outside and played. His brothers got home from school. We all played wrestling and hide and seek. Bryan hid me in the candy dish with the M&Ms. We had dinner, took baths and went to bed. Can't wait to come back to Bryan's. Nite, George :-)

November 30, 1998

Today I went home with Zak. Zak's Dad picked us up from school and we ran errands. We went home to eat lunch - hand and mustard sandwiches. After lunch, we took the secret key Zak's Dad got in the mail to the Honda dealership to see if it opened the "treasure box." It didn't - shucks! Then we went to Zak's friend Kylie's house to play. I parachuted through the air a bunch of times and sat in a tree inside Kylie's house. When we got home, Zak played Nintendo, ate dinner, then we watched Rudolf the Red Nosed Reindeer.
