The
Bottle- Nosed dolphins live by the Coasts of all most all of the World’s
(Patent 46) seas. They do not live in the poles. They’re found along almost
the of the tropical and temperate coasts. They lie at latitude 40°
south and up to latitude 60°
North. The Bottle Nosed dolphin is a mammal. The Bottle Nosed dolphin can be
found in zoos, Sea World and Marine parks (www.dolphins.com). In January 1997, pods of
Bottle Nosed dolphins were seen living in the North Pacific. The
Bottle Nosed Dolphin is a common porpoise. It has lasted 20 years as the star
performer in the movies, shows, theme parks in the U.S.A. (Encarta 98) The
Bottle Nosed dolphins are mammals. Dolphins are friendly animals to all living
things. Bottle Nosed Dolphin is named for their snout, which is long with a
bottom shorter than the top. Bottle
Nosed Dolphins eat many types of foods like shrimp, squid, and fish. The
dolphins feed by looking in the cracks by the shore. The dolphins gather their
prey into schools and they push the fish up to the shore and they eat the fish
together. Dolphins go by fishing boats because the fishermen throw the fish
overboard and the dolphins eat them.
Bottle Nosed Dolphins are often considered the most adaptable
of the cetaceans because they live amid industrial activity around harbors and
ship channels in many parts of the world. People have been going to places to
see the dolphins and to ride them. Sometimes
they give the dolphins fish. Dolphins live in pods they live up to 50 dolphins. There
are 80 species of dolphins in the world. There are warm mater dolphins cold, and
fresh water dolphins. The most common dolphin is a Bottle Nosed Dolphin. They
all have the same flukes. Dolphins are all friendly. There are big dolphins and
little dolphins. All dolphins have fish for their diet.
Dolphins live in tropical waters. Most of them stay within 100 miles away from Florida. They go as far as to Japan and Norway and South as Argentina (“Dolphins” 246). Dolphins like warmer water than cold water. But can be can be found in almost all the oceans (“Dolphins” 29) Dolphins have lungs they come to the surface to get air. The Dolphin breathes through a blowhole, a nostril on top of its head. Dolphins are gray or black on top. On the belly it is pink. (Prevest 6). Dolphins can go 25 miles an hour. (Prevest 12). Dolphins have dark bands arownd their eyes. Dolphins have torpedo shaped bodies (“Dolphins” 246). Dolphins have 20/22 teeth. They use their teeth to eat fish (“Dolphins” 408). Dolphins use their teeth to protect themselves (“Dolphins” 408). Dolphins predators are Great White Sharks, Killer Wales, and other species of toothed whales. (Prevast 12). Dolphins don’t fight with shark they gust get scars and bites. But dolphins survive (“Dolphins vs Sharks’). The Bottle Noise Dolphins ,in the last 20 years, have become a star performer. Dolphins can get up to 12 feet long and weigh as much as 440lb. (Cavendish 408). Dolphins have beak like snout and coned shaped teeth. (“Dolphins ”246). Dolphins smile at Amusement parks, Aquariums, and zoos (“Dolphins” 246). Dolphins used to have hair.
